It's been a long time since I posted to this blog. You can read more recent entries on my MySpace page. However, we had a recent article at Ebizine.com. In it I outlined some of our online strategies, and the growth of David's Cookies. We've grown so much in the past year - over 120% growth over the last 12 months. Our website is coming to the forefront of our industry!

It looks like our food science guys are continuing to improve our trans-fat-free recipes in a way that's titilating to the taste buds! We had a taste test earlier in the week and frankly, I couldn't tell the difference between the TFF recipe and the other one.

Now that the taste test stuff has become an everyday event, I take smaller and smaller chunks of each of the recipes in the hopes of not gaining weight from daily consumption. Still, they're sooo good. I may one day have to do as one would during wine tasting - chew it up a bit, swirl, then spit. Not a very pleasant puree but hey, we do what we need to, right? Bah... I'll just put in more time on the elliptical...

I got an email today from a celebrity charity event to raise money for animals. It sounded interesting, so I thought what the heck & agreed to provide some prizes for their silent auction as a show sponsor. I should see about getting some celebs to sign our tins. Among others, Jamie Foxx should be there. He's one funny dude. I should send him some brownies! Anyway, check out the event, it looks like a worthy cause, not to mention something fun to watch.

Today a sales rep came in from Kinko's - or I guess they're called Fedex/Kinkos now. They're having a grand opening in the neighborhood and wanted to promote the business with a 30% off discount for the next year - sweet deal indeed. Anyway, we got to talking & might possibly do something to help each other out with a joint sponsorship of their first day of business. How does this relate to brownies? Well, to whet their appetites, I pulled a tin of assorted brownies out of the freezer and gave them to the rep to sample with her coworkers. I'm sure we'll be hearing back hehehe...

I've been sampling all the flavors in our eight-piece brownie tin and boy are they delicious! Of course I don't want to get too carried away, so I'm sampling at a very moderate pace hehe. So far I've tried the chocolate chip and the peanut butter swirl varieties. Both were amazing, though I of course am a chocolate lover and prefer that one. Tomorrow it's Rocky Road and who knows what lurks in the future.
